BILLING & PRICING
Gatton Medical Centre is a Bulk billing practice and the cost of a consultation will vary according to the time taken and the complexity of the consultation. This includes DVA, Pensioners and Health Care card holders.
- Please call our reception staff if you have any queries regarding our fees for the numerous services we offer.
- All fees must be paid on the day and for your convenience, we provide EFTPOS and credit card facilities.

AFTER HOURS

The practice provides 24hour care for patients on a roster system shared with other local doctors. Doctors providing after-hours care charge full fees and do not bulk bill. If patients have a problem with this, they may attend the Gatton Hospital free of charge.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you need to cancel or change an appointment a minimum of 2 hours notice is required. We reserve the right to charge a fee for missed appointments.
If you are unable to keep an appointment, please advise reception as early as possible. Failure to cancel an appointment will attract a $25 fee.
AFTER HOURS ASSISTANCE
This practice offers after hours emergency care to patients through a formal arrangement with the three medical centres in Gatton.
The after-hours number can be used outside of our normal opening hours – 0738305730.
HOME VISIT POLICY
Home visit appointments can be made by prior arrangement with the receptionist at the discretion of the doctor.
COMMUNICATION / TRANSLATION
If you require alternative communication support, the practice can arrange:
- Translator Interpreter Services (TIS)
- National Relay Service (NRS)
Please advise reception at the time of booking if these services are required.

GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR APPOINTMENT
A standard consultation at Gatton Medical Centre is 10 minutes. Longer appointments may be needed for:
- Health assessments
- Counselling
- Excisions or minor procedures
- Multiple or complex concerns
Please notify reception when booking if extra time is needed. Some appointments may also require a nurse to be present.
Reception staff may ask a few brief questions to prioritise your medical needs this is part of our triage process to ensure safe and timely care.
While every effort is made to book you with your preferred GP, this may not always be possible.
At each visit, staff will confirm your personal details to maintain accurate and secure patient records.
